Jo Ellen Stewart, LPC
Behavioral Health Counselor
Ms. Stewart earned a BA in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Education in Counseling with an emphasis in Psychology/Rehabilitation from the University of Utah. She also studied at Otterbein College, University of West Florida, George Washington University and interned at Turning Point in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Her professional credentials include Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Co-occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate, DCAPC Advanced Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Certified Sentence Mitigation Specialist.
Ms. Stewart is a 10 year United States Air Force Veteran and is married to a 20 year Air Force veteran. Her service included a stint at Bethesda Naval Hospital and a tour in Korea. She has previously practiced in Utah, Florida, and Washington, DC. Ms. Stewart’s specialties include dual-diagnosis, group therapy, and faith-based therapies. She sees patients at both our New Kensington and Vandergrift clinics.
When not working, she enjoys serving as a Certified Lay Leader and a member of the choir at her church, reading, music, movies, pets and time with her family.
